Specialist in Orthodontics


Dr Tim McDonogh is the Principal Orthodontist of practices in Purley, Redhill and Croydon. He graduated from Guys Hospital in 1992 and undertook Hospital Positions in Head and Neck Surgery in the UK and Australia for 5 years.


He gained a Fellowship in Dental Surgery before commencing a post-graduate Orthodontic qualification at the University of Manchester. He obtained a certificate in specialist orthodontic training and the membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2000.


He is registered as a Specialist Orthodontist with the General Dental Council. He is a member of the Specialist Practitioner Group of the British Orthodontic Society, and a fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontists. He is also a member of the British Orthodontic Society, the British Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists.


He lives in London and in his spare time he enjoys watching and playing as much football, cricket and rugby as possible although this is becoming less so with the needs of his three wonderful active children.

Dr. Leonor K Chen-Kuo

Leonor undertook her Bachelor of Dental Science degree at The University of Melbourne. During her time in Australia, she worked in the East Gippsland Region as the Dental Officer in Bairnsdale Hospital, travelled in a mobile dental unit to serve remote rural areas under the Rural Initiative Program and worked in the Gippsland and East Gippsland Aboriginal Cooperative Health Centre. She gained her Diploma in Orthodontics from The Royal Collage of Surgeons UK and has provided over 5000 new smiles in 18 years working in specialist orthodontic practices. Leonor is certified in Invisalign and Incognito.


Leonor is a member of the British Orthodontic Society and The Royal College of Surgeons England.


Alongside orthodontics, Leonor has found a new interest providing facial rejuvenation and aesthetic treatments and is completing a Masters Degree in Facial Ageing and Aesthetic Medicine at Manchester University.


Leonor is dedicated to making sure all her patients are happy and comfortable during their appointments.

Dr Kiri Paul

Dr Kiri Paul Graduated from Kings College London and is dual qualified with a BSc Biomedical Sciences Degree. The passion Dr Paul has for Clinical dentistry and Dental Research allows her to offer a patient cantered evidence-based approach to treating her patients. She recently published a Scientific paper in the British Dental journal in collaboration with King College London on the topics of regenerative Dentistry, Sustainability and Dental Education.

Patients describe Kiri as a “warm, approachable, kind person”. One patient said that Kiri “really made me feel at ease during my appointment and treatment”.

In her spare time Kiri is a polished public speaker and keen mentor to aspiring future dentists, mentoring and delivering talks at top universities such as Queen Mary University and Kings college London.

When Dr Paul is not immersing herself in dentistry, she enjoys being active in nature trekking usually with her German shepherd or kayaking down the Thames with friends.

Dr Paul is a very sociable caring person whose aim is to elevate her patients experiences through working together to achieve a desired result.

Kym James

Hygienist – CEB Cert in Dental Hygiene


Kym qualified as a DSA in 1977 from UCH London and worked for Dr Patrick McDonogh when he first opened his orthodontic practice in South Croydon. In 1980 Kym went on to qualify as a dental hygienist at RAF Halton and has since worked in both NHS and Private practices including Harley Street.


Kym has numerous years of experience working with patients who are undergoing orthodontic treatment, who have had dental surgery including implants and works closely with periodontists. Kym has previously worked with the local area teams treating both adults and children with learning disabilities. Kym qualified to undertake teeth whitening procedures. In her spare time Kym enjoys salsa dancing, interior design, reading and spending time with friends and family.

Qualified as an Orthodontic Therapist in 2014 but has been working in the dental industry since 2001. I started off as a dental nurse, working in general dentistry. When in 2008, started working in Chelsea & Westminster Hospital in the Pedodontics and Orthodontic departments and sometimes assisted in oral surgery. It was during this time that I found my passion for orthodontics. To which I gained my certificate in Orthodontic nursing at Kings College hospital. It was here that I decided that I wanted to become an orthodontic therapist. I have worked in different practices over the last 10 years.

My interests are travelling particularly around Spain and France. Spending time at the beach. BBQing and spending time with my husband and my dog.

Zania Lung

Specialist Orthodontist


Zania qualified in General Dentistry from King’s CollegeHospital, University of London. After gaining a wide breadth of experience from completing several Hospital posts in Oral Medicine, Restorative Dentistry, Paediatric Dentistry, Maxillofacial Oral Surgery and Special Needs dentistry, she decided to specialise in orthodontics. Zania undertook her post-graduate Orthodontic training in Orthodontics at Queen’s University Belfast. She is on the General Dental Council’s Specialist Register for Orthodontics.  She has worked in hospital as a Specialist doctor in Orthodontics at Croydon University Hospital and Queen Victoria Hospital.  She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons and the British Orthodontic Society. In her spare time, Zania enjoys baking and dining out.
